The motto we live by is citizen science = citizen power!
CCRAB empowers residents of environmental justice communities in the Charleston region using community-based participatory research and citizen science to advance the health of their communities.
By facilitating a number of agency/university-community partnerships, CCRAB works to investigate environmental and public health concerns identified by residents, including but not limited to: air quality, soil quality, water quality, and flooding and climate change impacts.
We combine community knowledge with scientific tools, creating opportunities for residents to shape solutions that protect health and advance environmental justice.
